Sayfurahman, Smith and Pearson Receive All-CCAA Honors in 2023

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – The 2023 All-CCAA selections for women's soccer were announced on Tuesday. From Cal State East Bay, Mika Sayfurahman, Jordan Smith and Morgan Pearson received postseason honors from the conference.
 

Mika Sayfurahman – All-CCAA First Team

The sophomore midfielder was the team's leading scorer with eight goals and also was named CCAA Midfielder of the Year. She scored a goal in five of the final six matches of the season, including a game-winning penalty kick against Cal Poly Humboldt on October 20.  
 

Jordan Smith – All-CCAA Honorable Mention

In her final season with the Pioneers, Smith took charge of the net. The senior goalkeeper had three complete shutouts and one shared shutout with a 1.21 goals-against-average on the season. In a 2-0 win on Senior Day against Sonoma State, she made a season-high eight saves. She was named All-CCAA Honorable Mention for the third time in her career.
 

Morgan Pearson – All-CCAA Honorable Mention

With 566 minutes of action, Pearson tallied 17 shots with nine on frame. The sophomore's most notable performance was on October 8 in a 4-1 win against Cal State Dominguez Hills when she scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner. Pearson received a postseason award from the conference for a second straight season. In 2022, she was named All-CCAA Second Team.
