MARYSVILLE, Calif. — A pair of top-10 individual finishes highlighted Cal State East Bay men's golf's season-opening performance at the Wildcat Classic, as the Pioneers finished tied for third at 28-under par Tuesday at Peach Tree Golf & Country Club.

Cal State East Bay Athletics has a full slate of competition ahead, with seven Pioneer teams in action throughout the week. Volleyball returns home to Pioneer Gymnasium, while men's and women's soccer, golf, and cross country hit the road for competition.

HAYWARD, Calif. — Cal State East Bay student-athletes Mika Sayfurahman of the women's soccer team and Oscar Blomqvist of the men's golf team have been selected as the university's recipients of the 2025-26 Dr. Hal Charnofsky Memorial Award, the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) announced.

HAYWARD, Calif. — Demonstrating its continued commitment to academic excellence, Cal State East Bay led all California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) institutions with 71 student-athletes named to the 2025-26 Winter and Spring Academic Honor Roll.
