INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA announced the selections for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, as Cal State East Bay men's golf is one of 80 teams entered, as the Pioneers clinched an automatic berth in the South Central/West Regional and are the top ranked team among the West Region teams who qualified.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - History was made on Wednesday at Sandpiper Golf Club, where the Cal State East Bay men's golf team had a collective -1 in the final round to win the 2024-25 CCAA Men's Golf Championships presented by Under Armour. It was the second CCAA Men's Golf Championship in program history.

At Cal State East Bay, the golf course is more than just a playing field—it's a testing ground for resilience, growth, and ambition. Two standout student-athletes, Adam Brangefalt and Makena Ebster, have taken unique paths to reach their peaks, carving their own identities on the greens while navigating the demands of collegiate athletics. One hails from halfway across the globe in Västerås, Sweden; the other is from the Central Valley. Together, they represent the drive and discipline it takes to compete at the NCAA Division II level—on both sides of the scoreboard.

History could be in the making this week for Pioneer Athletics. Both golf teams will play in the final round of the CCAA Championships in pursuit of a conference title, while softball is just one win away from clinching the CCAA regular season title for the first time. Baseball will play its final regular season road series this coming weekend as well.

The final home softball series takes place this week, along with a home baseball series, the track teams go to separate meets and next Monday through Wednesday, both golf teams will compete for a CCAA Championship in Santa Barbara.

MERCED/TURLOCK, Calif. — Cal State East Bay men's golf posted a fourth-place finish out of 15 teams at the 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational, a three-round, 54-hole tournament held Monday and Tuesday across two courses in the Central Valley. The opening two rounds were played at Merced Golf & Country Club (par 72 - 6,561 yards), while the final round took place at Turlock Golf & Country Club (par 72 - 6,641 yards).
