COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Faculty Athletics Representatives Association (FARA) has announced that Cal State East Bay's Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR), Dr. Summer Jackson, has been named Division II Newcomer of the Year by the FARA Honors and Awards Committee.

The 2025-26 athletic year is quickly approaching for Cal State East Bay, and with it comes 14 Pioneer teams in action with the first contest taking place on Thursday, September 4.

The second week of action is set to take place starting Thursday for women's volleyball, and Saturday for each soccer team. Cross Country takes to the course under the lights on Saturday in Ceres, and both East Bay golf teams tee off for the first time in 2025-26 on Monday.

LIVERMORE, Calif. — On a warm yet windy Tuesday afternoon at Las Positas College Soccer Field, Cal State East Bay women's soccer delivered a dominant second-half performance to secure a 3-0 non-conference victory over Hawai'i Pacific. HONOLULU — Cal State East Bay volleyball battled point for point with UC Colorado Springs on Saturday afternoon but fell in three sets at McCabe Gym, as the Mountain Lions completed a sweep 25-22, 25-20, 30-28 in East Bay's final match of the 2025 Hawaii Challenge. The Pioneers showed resilience in the third set set, rallying from six points down to push the frame to extra points before UCCS pulled out the win.
