Volleyball Picked 6th in CCAA Preseason Poll
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - On Wednesday, the CCAA announced its 2025 Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll. Picked to finish sixth in the standings was Cal State East Bay.
The Pioneers finished in the same sixth place spot last season, clinching a berth in the 2024 CCAA Tournament on the final night of the regular season.
Cal Poly Pomona was picked as the top team in the poll with 11 first place votes, followed by 2024 NCAA Division II runner-up San Francisco State, followed by Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State LA, Stanislaus State then East Bay.
The top six teams in the final regular season standings qualify for the CCAA Tournament in November.
On Thursday, September 4, the 2025 journey for the Pioneers starts against Hawai'i Pacific to open the Hawaii Challenge, which is co-hosted by HPU and No. 9 Chaminade.
