Sayfurahman Nets Sixth Goal of Season in 1-1 Draw
SEASIDE, Calif. - Cal State East Bay women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw against Cal State Monterey Bay in a hard-fought CCAA match at Cardinale Stadium on Sunday. The Pioneers' lone goal was off the foot of Mika Sayfurahman for her sixth goal of the season.

East Bay struck first in the 39th minute when Mika Sayfurahman netted her sixth goal of the season, giving the Pioneers a 1-0 advantage heading into halftime. The senior midfielder's timely strike energized the visiting side, who looked to secure a crucial road victory.
However, Cal State Monterey Bay refused to go down without a fight. The Otters' persistence paid off in the 76th minute when Gianna Foss found the equalizer, assisted by Tiger Rendon. The late goal shifted the momentum and set up a tense finish to the match.
Both teams had opportunities to claim victory in the closing stages. East Bay's Gabriella Rodil forced a save from CSUMB goalkeeper Nylah Mirshafiei in the 76th minute, while the Otters' Jaedyn Sanders saw her shot go wide in the 89th minute. However, both opportunities did not result in a goal as both teams played to a 1-1 draw.
