DAY ONE RECAP: Women's Golf at CCAA Championships
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The 2025 CCAA Women's Golf Championships presented by Under Armour teed off Monday from Sandpiper Golf Club. After one round of action on the par 72, 6,001-yard course, Cal State East Bay women's golf holds the team lead among six teams chasing a conference championship.
- Tied atop the leaderboard after 18 holes is Torrie Bowman, who carded a 2-over-par 74. Even with only one birdie, Bowman managed to make par on 14 holes.
- Three golfers from East Bay are currently tied for fourth on the leaderboard at 4-over-par 76, including Jasmin Krishna, Sophia Tejeda and Carlota Eroles. Eroles had six birdies on Monday, tied for the most among the field.
- Denise Paulsson sits tied for ninth on the leaderboard at 6-over-par 78.
Tied with Bowman atop the leaderboard is Kiara Hernandez from Cal State San Marcos at 2-over-par 74.
On Tuesday, the second round of the CCAA Women's Golf Championships is set for a first tee time of 8 a.m. from Sandpiper Golf Club. Paulsson is the first golfer among the Pioneers to tee off with an 8:45 a.m. tee time.
