This week's Pioneer Spotlight shines on Cal State East Bay golf, featuring two standout student-athletes from Sweden, senior Denise Paulsson of women's golf and junior Oscar Blomqvist of men's golf. Both have been instrumental in raising the program's profile on the national stage, helping their teams reach the NCAA Championships while embracing the full experience of being a Pioneer student-athlete.

PUEBLO, Colo. — The Cal State East Bay women's golf team battled to a tie for 9th place at the Pueblo Invitational this week with a two-round total of 630 (+54). The Pioneers matched Midwestern State on the leaderboard and finished inside the top half of a competitive 21-team field that featured several of the nation's top programs.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — The Cal State East Bay women's golf team wrapped up play at the DII National Preview this week, competing against one of the strongest Division II fields in the country.  The Pioneers finished 12th overall with a three-round total of 973 (324–323–326) at PGA National in West Palm Beach, Florida

Cal State East Bay women's golf has been recognized nationally in the Mizuno/WGCA Division II Women's Golf Preseason Poll at No. 24 in the nation. Among the CCAA, the Pioneers were picked to finish third.
