With great sadness and memory, Cal State East Bay Athletics mourns the loss of Dr. Cal Caplan, whose legacy will be forever carried in the Pioneer community. He was more than a coach as he bridged athletics and academics once he arrived on the Hayward campus.

AUSTIN, Texas - Following an outstanding career in net for Cal State East Bay women's water polo, Daniela Passoni was named to the Academic All-America® Women's Division II At-Large First Team for 2023-24. It was the second consecutive year in which Passoni received an Academic All-America® award.

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. - The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced its 2024 Division II All-America honors for women's water polo on Wednesday. From Cal State East Bay, Daniela Passoni and Luna Sarmiento were named to the First Team and Alex Andrist was named Honorable Mention.

LA MIRADA, Calif. – The 2024 WWPA Women's Water Polo Championship Match took place Sunday, as Cal State East Bay women's water polo lost 12-11 to Biola in a back-and-fourth battle at Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatic Center.
