COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Faculty Athletics Representatives Association (FARA) has announced that Cal State East Bay's Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR), Dr. Summer Jackson, has been named Division II Newcomer of the Year by the FARA Honors and Awards Committee.

BOULDER CITY, Nev. — Cal State East Bay men's golf turned in an outstanding team performance at the National Preview this week, finishing fourth overall in an elite 17-team field. The Pioneers posted a three-round total of 22-under par after rounds of 281 (-7), 279 (-9), and 282 (-6), tallying their best overall score of the fall season.

MERCED, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's soccer continued its strong start to conference play Sunday afternoon, earning a 1-0 road victory over UC Merced on a late goal by Kella Folkerts. The Pioneers improved to 4-4-1 overall and 2-0-0 in CCAA action, while the Bobcats dropped to 4-2-3 and 1-1-0.

When Miranda McDonnell arrived at Cal State East Bay, she never imagined how deeply the experience would shape her life. Kale'a Kuamo'o from has been voted this week's FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.  Kuamo'o averaged a CCAA-best 4.38 digs on the weekend to help Cal State East Bay defend its home court with a pair of victories. She added five assists and two aces.
