VISTA, Calif. – The WWPA announced its weekly awards for the April 8-14, 2024 on Wednesday. For the third time this season, goalkeeper Daniela Passoni was named WWPA Defensive Player of the Week.
In the final two matches of the regular season in which the Pioneers went 2-0, Passoni had 12 saves in the matches last week and had a .667 save percentage.
Passoni also won WWPA Defensive Player of the Week honors following action from January 29-February 4 and March 18-24.
With the regular season wrapped up, the Pioneers will next play their first round game in the WWPA Championships in La Mirada on Friday, April 26. CSUEB will take on Gannon or Salem in the opening round, as the final seeding for the Pioneers will be determined following other action this coming weekend in the conference.
