The Pioneers control their own destiny for clinching a spot in the CCAA Tournament. Two wins would automatically put them into the tournament. However, if East Bay does not win both remaining regular season matches, there are other scenarios that could get them into the postseason as well, but would depend on outcomes throughout the CCAA, most notably contests that include Sonoma State and Cal State San Marcos.
The Pioneers lost both of their home matches last week to SF State and CSUSB and will look to bounce back for a chase for the CCAA Tournament. On September 21, the Pioneers lost 3-1 to Stanislaus State and on September 20, defeated Chico State, 3-1.
