DAY TWO RECAP: Pioneers in Fourth After Second Round of NCAA Division II West Regional

STOCKTON, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's golf played the second round of the 2024 NCAA Division II West Regional on Tuesday at Brookside Golf & Country Club. The Pioneers finished the day with a +5 team score which placed them in fourth after 36 holes played.

  • Mandi Granato had the best round of the day for the Pioneers as she shot a 2-under-par 70, pushing her tournament score to 1-under-par 143 which tied her for seventh on the leaderboard. She currently has the lowest score among the Pioneers entered in the tournament. She had four birdies in the second round and has a team high seven birdies through 36 holes.
  • For the second consecutive day, Julika Grosspietsch fired a 2-over-par 74.
  • Jasmin Krishna also carded a 74 in the second round, as her score is identical to Grosspietsch through two rounds at 1-over-par 145. Krishna has five birdies in total through two rounds.
  • Alma Garcia shot a 4-over-par 76 and sits in a tie for 27th on the leaderboard at 4-over-par 148.

West Texas A&M leads the team competition through two rounds and there is currently a three-way tie atop the leaderboard between Madison Murr of Cal State San Marcos, Brady Turnquist of Biola and Kylie Severin of CSU-Pueblo at 5-under-par 139.
 
The Pioneers will play the final round of the NCAA Division II West Regional on Wednesday. Tee time is scheduled for 8 a.m.
