HAYWARD, Calif. – A week removed from the season opening meet at Chabot College Track, Cal State East Bay men's track & field competed in the West Coast Opener on Friday at the same venue and was the top scoring team at the meet.

TRACK EVENTS
- Michael Greco won two sprint events. In the 100 meters, he placed first in 11.84 seconds and in the 200 meters, his finish was 24.49 seconds.
- In 53.36 seconds, Noah Bean placed second in the 400 meters.
- Bean, Kamron Smith, Jaalam Jones and Andrew Sandoval were the winning relay team in the 4x400 meters with a time of 3:30.18.
- Edgar Martinez placed second in the shot put with a mark of 10.60 meters and second in the discus with a throw of 30.80 meters.
