"We were disappointed with our finish this week," said Cal State East Bay head golf coach Alan Sue. "Today's final round felt like we were trying not to lose. I think this is going to be a learning experience that will help us as we prepare for our postseason run. It was a solid tournament for Adam. Also, this was a big event for Oscar who was starting for the first time in his college career. We have a quick turnaround as we head to Stanislaus on Sunday."
Midwestern State captured the team title with an impressive 54-hole total of 832. Colorado Mesa's Cole Beyer claimed medalist honors at 15-under-par 201 (2-under-par 70, 7-under-par 65, 6-under-par 66).
The Pioneers return to action April 14-15 at the 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational. The first two rounds will take place at Merced Golf & Country Club on Monday, followed by the final round Tuesday at Turlock Golf & Country Club.
