DAY ONE RECAP: Pioneer Men’s Golf at Hanny Stanislaus Invitational

TURLOCK, Calif. – The first two rounds of the 2024 Hanny Stanislaus Invitational took place Monday at Turlock Golf & Country Club. As the Pioneers sit in seventh place after Monday's action, Easton Hether and Adam Brangefalt are tied for eighth on the leaderboard as the two lowest scores among the Pioneers.

  • Brangefalt birdied nine of the 18 holes played in the opening round for a 66. He sits tied for eighth at 5-under-par 139 (66-73). He has 12 birdies for the most among Pioneer golfers after playing 36 holes.
  • With a 66 in the second round to climb the leaderboard was Hether who also is tied for eighth at 5-under-par 139.
  • The only eagle on Monday for the Pioneers was from Ryan Hong.

Cal State San Bernardino leads the team scoring through two rounds. John Kim from CSUSB and Simon Bjorken from Cal State Monterey Bay are currently tied atop the leaderboard at 8-under-par 136.
 
The third round is set to tee off Tuesday from Turlock Golf & Country Club with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
