FINAL RECAP: Pioneer Women’s Golf Places Fifth at CCAA Championships; Grosspietsch Named to All-Tournament Team

SANTA ROSA, Calif. – On Wednesday, 2024 CCAA Golf Championships presented by Under Armour wrapped up from Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club. Cal State East Bay women's golf placed fifth among six teams. With her fourth place finish on the leaderboard, Julika Grosspietsch was named to the CCAA All-Tournament Team.

  • In the final round, Grosspietsch carded a 74 to finish at 4-over-par 220 finishing with five birdies among the 54 holes played since Monday.
  • Also with five birdies was Alma Garcia, who was tied for 18th on the leaderboard at 19-over-par 235. Two of Garcia's birdies were on Wednesday.
  • With a three-stroke improvement from the second to third round was Jasmin Krishna, with a 75 on Wednesday.
  • Mandi Granato and Carlota Eroles each had their lowest round scores of the tournament in the third round.

The 2024 CCAA Champion is Cal State San Marcos, who had three golfers occupy the top three places on the leaderboard, led by the CCAA individual champion, Regan Barton, who finished 2-under-par 214.
 
Cal State East Bay awaits the announcement of the bids for the 2024 NCAA Division II Women's Golf West Regional. The selections are expected to be announced on Monday, April 29. Should the Pioneers be selected, they will compete in the regional tournament on May 6-8, at Brookside Golf & Country Club in Stockton.
