Farnan and Gibbons Receive All-CCAA Honors for Second Consecutive Season

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – The 2023 All-CCAA Awards for men's soccer were announced Wednesday. For the second consecutive season, both Aaron Farnan and Drew Gibbons from Cal State East Bay men's soccer received postseason recognition from the conference.
 

Aaron Farnan – All-CCAA Second Team

The forward from Fair Oaks led the Pioneers in goals during the 2023 season with six and he also had three assists. In the season opener on August 31, he scored a goal less than a minute into the season and eventually netted the game winner in the same match. He registered 40 shots with 23 on net during the season with 1,254 minutes on the pitch. In 2022, Farnan was named All-CCAA honorable Mention.
 

Drew Gibbons – All-CCAA Honorable Mention

Gibbons picked up All-CCAA Honorable Mention recognition for a second straight year. Gibbons started all 18 matches for 1,396 minutes of action. He was a leader on a team that showed tremendous turnaround from the previous season including a five-win improvement, as well as a program that achieved seven wins for the first time as a modern CCAA member.
