HAYWARD, Calif. — On Saturday evening at Pioneer Gymnasium, Cal State East Bay closed its 2025-26 season on a celebratory note, defeating UC Merced 75-69 behind a standout Senior Night performance that featured timely scoring, strong rebounding and a decisive fourth quarter. Before tipoff, seniors Aloha Akaka, Taylor Eldredge, Meredith Gilbertson and Lucca Lowenberg were honored in their final game as Pioneers, and each played a role in delivering one last win despite postseason hopes having been dashed earlier in the day by other CCAA results.

HAYWARD, Calif. — On a gritty Thursday evening inside Pioneer Gymnasium, Cal State East Bay found its defensive edge when it mattered most, rallying past Stanislaus State for a 56-48 victory that kept the Pioneers' postseason aspirations intact. Behind timely scoring surges, a strong fourth-quarter push and efficient perimeter shooting, East Bay secured a vital late-season win with CCAA standings tightening around the final postseason spots.

This coming week of action for the Pioneers includes the home opener for softball on Wednesday and a weekend tournament in Tracy, the final week of regular season action for each basketball team, a home baseball series and men's golf returning to Boulder Creek for the second time this season.
