IRVINE, Calif. — No. 17 Cal State East Bay closed the final day of the 2026 Concordia Kickoff Classic in emphatic fashion Sunday morning, rolling to an 8-0, five-inning win over Chaminade at Great Park. Behind dominant pitching from Marissa Quintero and a decisive six-run fourth inning, the Pioneers earned a run-rule victory to cap the opening weekend and improve to 4-1 overall.

IRVINE, Calif. — No. 17 Cal State East Bay continued a strong opening weekend Saturday at Great Park, earning a pair of wins on the second day of the Concordia Kickoff Classic. The Pioneers edged Vanguard 3-2 in the opener before riding timely offense and dominant pitching to a 5-0 shutout of Hawai'i Pacific, improving to 3-1 on the young season.

IRVINE, Calif. – No. 17 Cal State East Bay opened the 2026 season Friday at Great Park with a split on the first day of the Concordia Kickoff Classic, earning a 3-1 victory over UH Hilo before dropping an 8-3 decision to Colorado Christian. The Pioneers showcased early execution and strong pitching in the opener, then battled back late in the nightcap after facing a big third inning.

The spring sports season is officially underway Friday when baseball and softball take to the diamond, and women's golf resuming action on Monday. Also, both basketball teams are in action on the road for a set of games in Southern California this week.
