BOCA RATON/WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Cal State East Bay swept a South Florida Sunday with a resilient extra-inning win at Lynn in the morning and a wire-to-wire, high-scoring victory at Palm Beach Atlantic in the afternoon. The Pioneers doubled the opposition's total runs on the day, 28-14, securing their first win of the season in the opener and riding a relentless offense in the nightcap improving to 2-2.
Despite Offensive Output, Pioneers Drop Road Game to Lynn on Saturday
BOCA RATON, Fla. — Cal State East Bay competed through multiple momentum swings Saturday afternoon at Lynn Baseball Field, but late power from the host Fighting Knights led to a 12-7 loss. Originally scheduled as a doubleheader, the day was limited to one game due to a combination of a rain delay and darkness. The Pioneers erased deficits twice and tied the game in the fifth inning before Lynn pulled away in the final frames.
East Bay Baseball Comes Up Short in Season Opener at Barry
MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — Opening the 2026 season Friday at Feimbloom Field, Cal State East Bay came up just short in a 4–2 loss to Barry in a tightly played opener that featured early offense by the Buccaneers and sustained pressure from the Pioneers. Despite multiple chances to even the score, East Bay was unable to deliver the decisive hit.
